The main objective remained the same: to identify ways to improve the schooling and inclusion of EANA (Allophone and Newly Arrived Students), to develop sufficient skills in the language of the host country, to give access to culture and employment, to better train teachers of French as a Second Language and all teachers who participate in the inclusion of these students. Teachers from UPE2A (Pedagogical Units for Allophone Pupils), teachers from regular classes, mission managers, school and rectorate managers, inspectors and rector's advisors participated in this project. Indeed, we felt it was essential to raise awareness among decision-makers who could guide us towards new policies. The expected impacts of the ADAM 2 project were: 1- the academic management and institutional care of EANA, hence our insistence on integrating the "decision makers" more into this second project; 2- the management of schools for the reception strategy; 3- the management of the student, his inclusion in a regular class and the improvement of the teacher's posture in this reception.
The ADAM2 project is a continuation of a first academic consortium project entitled ADAM (Accueil Des Allophones et Migrants: “Welcome of Allophones and Migrants”) carried out in the academy of Strasbourg from July 2018 to June 2020. This project, which is part of a context of increasing numbers of allophone and migrant students, was a great success in the academy. Many schools or teachers concerned by the problem of migrant pupils' education have expressed their wish to join this training program. The DARILV (Délégation Académique aux relations internationales et aux langues Vivantes) and the GIP-FCIP therefore deemed it appropriate to extend this opportunity for training and reflection by submitting a new application relatively similar to the first. This was an opportunity to maintain the dynamic initiated in the academy on the issue of the reception and schooling of migrant and allophone students while allowing new staff to observe the good practices of our neighbors and to deepen the observations of their predecessors, as well as to open this reflection to new territories, notably to lesser opportunities and to integrate more decision-makers, namely inspectors and training managers.
