Objectives

The first objective of this project was to build skills both personally, through mastery of a foreign language: English to communicate with our partners in foreign schools, and professionally, through the discovery of innovative teaching practices to increase our students' success. The secondary objective was to share the experiences lived during these exchanges, such as the cultural aspects, a sense of belonging to Europe, and the dissemination of good life practices. It was also a question of creating a dynamic of European openness in and out of schools through sharing the problems encountered in our schools regarding the main axis of the school environment, as well as taking into account pupils with special needs.

Background

The Eur'Aniche consortium was born out of a common desire, of an inspector and 3 colleagues (headteachers and Priority Educational District's coordinator), to open up Europe in order to discover, in a very concrete way, other educational systems as well as to take hold of relevant and innovative teaching practices that could be transferred to our schools. The consortium gradually expanded to include all schools in Aniche (the elementary and nursery schools and the middle school), and eventually the Berthelot school in Denain.
