Objectives

Thanks to the job-shadowing placements and the structured courses, our institution was able to: - motivate and encourage members of staff to take part in the internationalisation strategy, - know better the educational systems in the hosting countries, - know better the hosting institutions to build up future partnerships and Erasmus+ projects - exchange good-practices - improve their language skills, particularly in English and integrate it into their professional practice - learn how to manage Erasmus+ projects (application forms, Mobility Tool, evaluation grids, activity reports, project reports, dissemination, etc.)

Background

We applied for this project because our school wanted to improve its internationalisation strategy to offer mobility projects, with a professional outreach, to learners and staff members. Our previous experience in Erasmus+ cooperation projects (Key Action 2) encouraged a panel of teachers to get involved in future international projects. However, they were aware that they needed to 1. get a better knowledge of the educational systems, organisation, and functioning of schools in Europe to establish future partnerships 2. exchange professional and pedagogical practices and tools used in professional practice in other European countries 3. improve their communication skills in English and other EU languages. 4. improve their knowledge and skills in European project management. Through this KA101 project, staff members have been able to benefit from mobilities to undertake job-shadowing placements in institutions similar to ours or structured courses to improve their language skills.
