Objectives

With this project, we wanted to change the classroom space and we wanted to develop innovative forms and methods of work. We also wanted to develop projects between teachers of the same topic, between topics or in connection with the school librarian. We aimed to improve the communication and visibility of the projects carried out in the different subjects. In addition, the project aimed to strengthen the language skills of all staff involved. The objectives are listed in the Annex. We can give some examples here : - increased motivation and involvement for the students - increase in digital-related lessons - acquisition of new skills (pedagogical, digital or linguistic) - discover and manipulate new digital and/or innovative tools - creation of a bank of digital resources, application links and examples of innovative projects - develop interdisciplinary projects between language and science colleagues and digital colleagues - acquisition of new teaching materials - strengthening links with European partners and international projects

Background

Bellepierre high school has a strong will to go on developing strategies for its internationalisation thanks to the creation of strong European partnerships in the long term. This project is the product of a collective brainstorming and of a very simple observation : our classrooms haven’t changed a lot for centuries and it's sometimes difficult to make an evolution of our educational practices. We’ve observed that our students were more and more passive, had difficulties integrating what they learned and that many of them suffered at school. In this digital age and society in constant change, we wished to offer our pupils innovative and modular environments, to develop peer exchanges and to have tools in order to make our teaching more dynamic. This project involved different fields such as game-based learning, the use of interactive activities in class, a project approach and teaching differentiation.
