Background

The EPI (Enseignements et pratiques immersives : CLIL teaching and skills ) project aims to train staff (teachers, pedagogical advisors, primary and secondary school management staff, town hall staff) in teaching subjects through a language: English. It encourages inter-category collaboration. Our academic region has been involved in the implementation of non-language subject teaching since 2017. Our objective is in line with the ministerial recommendations to serve a regional educational policy and to encourage pedagogical innovation to bring students to a high level of language skills. The need to establish a specific progression articulated around the official instructions is one of the teachers' concerns. The EPI training course was an opportunity to respond to the demand of staff who wish to deepen their didactic and pedagogical skills in the field of DNL (Non-Linguistic Discipline) teaching. Within the framework of the strategy of the Academic Region for the development of bilingual schools, the role of the ATSEM is a lever for the implementation of the project. These staff who work jointly with teachers are also in great demand of training. The consortium is composed of : - 3 academic departments (13, 83, 04) - 9 nursery schools and 5 elementary schools - Marseille City Hall - Canope The participants are : - The managers (1st and 2nd degree) of the 3 DSDENs of the consortium, - Nursery and elementary school teachers, municipal employees in nursery schools, - An elected official from the Marseille city hall, - The director of the Canope 13.
