The objectives were : 1/ to make schools autonomous in the development and management of Erasmus+ projects by strengthening the skills of headmasters and teachers 2/ to develop the capacity of the Académie de Lille to support, implement and disseminate European staff mobility projects. The participants were mainly teachers and headmasters in schools and counsellors. The schools involved in the consortium wrote a European development plan, describing their strategy for Europe awareness and specifying the expected benefits of mobility, in terms of childcare, work with childhood partners, coeducation and inclusive practices.
The CALME_sco 2020 (Académie de Lille Consortium for Mobility in Europe / School Education) was set up by the Rectorat de Lille, the GIP-FCIP Education et formation tout au long de la vie and 11 primary schools. Considering the high rate of social inequalities and of poverty, the project leaders tried to find out the profiles of schools likely to keep them away from European mobility financed by Erasmus+: rural or isolated nursery schools, geographically neighbouring schools experiencing difficulty to carry the coordination of an Erasmus+ project, or schools run by a new head teacher.
