Objectives

The Dijon academy is clear about the perspectives to be developed and the 'MADE in Burgundy' project has come to provide the tools for axis 3 of the academic project aimed at the INTERNATIONALISATION of all the schools in the 4 burgundian "departments": the exchanges of practices, learning and European training courses were all opportunities to promote Europe in the teaching practices of the teachers, as well as in the more global management of the schools by the management teams and, together, to encourage the teams to create new opportunities for all the students. Sometimes, it was even an opportunity for a number of schools to consider the implementation of new teaching methods, the adaptation of certain courses of study or certain diplomas. Some schools, completely new to these European programmes, discovered with enthusiasm the interest of getting involved in European projects. Others have acquired sufficient confidence to reinvest, sometimes very quickly, the technical skills acquired during these programmes by getting involved in their first Erasmus+ project.

Background

The promotion of Europe and the internationalisation of educational establishments is one of the strong priorities of the Dijon academy. In 2018, under the guidance of the Rectrice, a specific focus on "Internationalisation of schools" was included in the academic project "Dijon, learning academy". Thus, in order to support European mobility, an academic steering group called "M.A.D.E. in Bourgogne: Mobility of the Dijon academy in Europe" was set up. The GIP-FTLV of Burgundy, with the support of various rectoral services, was in charge of initiating this Erasmus+ project, in order to facilitate the involvement of the schools of the academy in European projects often considered as "complex". In 2019, following the impulse given by the national Erasmus+ conference organised in Dijon and in the framework of the High School reform, it was agreed to continue the "MADE in Burgundy" consortium in its 2020-2022 version by focusing on the high schools of the academy. This project is based on the needs expressed by its members at the end of 2019, with priority given to increasing the skills of the teams and the willingness to implement European actions directly linked to their school project.
