The objectives of this project were both qualitative and quantitative. Indeed, at the qualitative level, we wanted the proposed mobilities to concretely allow the participants to acquire new skills and enriching experiences. That is why, our objective was that the mobilities would be carried out in quality companies that correspond to the expectations and needs of our participants. In addition, the objective was to build and strengthen our links with the various international partners (companies, vocational training centres, consular chambers) in order to ensure the sustainability of our partnerships and the offer of international mobility for our learners and staff. In terms of quantity, here are the objectives we initially set ourselves: 120 short term mobilities for learners (2 weeks), 65 long term mobilities for learners (6 months) and 10 short term mobilities for staff (10 days).
Convinced of the benefits that international mobility can have on the pathways and skills (social, professional, transversal) of the learners in our vocational training centres, we have developed this project to offer them this type of opportunity. Indeed, even today, contrary to the higher education sector, too few VET learners benefit from mobility opportunities abroad in their training pathway. Therefore, we want CFP trainees to have the opportunity to discover and share professional practices and skills in their respective sectors, while at the same time enabling them to acquire an intercultural and international outlook. We are convinced that such experiences, in addition to enriching them personally and professionally, allow them to access the labour market more easily. We therefore applied for this project to enable our students and staff to undertake short and long international mobility projects.
