Objectives

Our project had several objectives: - Promoting mobility and European openness The Mobility embodies our educational and pedagogical values: openness, culture and European citizenship, development of autonomy, initiative and self-esteem and our work-study programs. Young people can open up to other ways of working, take on responsibilities and adapt to the socio-professional context. - Improving the quality of training and internationalization Our MFR wants to enrich its training through new experiences and professional environments, greater involvement of young people in their careers, strengthening links with companies. Our internationalization dynamic is continued to maintain the quality of our partnerships and internship locations. - Structuring of the project management methodology The team wishes to further professionalize project management practices and improve the evaluation of sustainable effects, internal organization, external communication and the involvement of staff and the Board in monitoring mobility and feedback.

Background

The Vocational Rural Training Center (MFR) of Bernay-en-Champagne hosts young people from the 3rd year of middle school to the BTS (higher technician diploma) and occasional adult trainings. Since 2006, we have been organizing internship mobilities in Belgium with our agricultural training students. On the strength of this experience, we have enrolled in Leonardo and Erasmus + programs with Romania first and then Spain, for young people in the « personal services » sector. The Vocational Rural Training Center (MFR) also promotes mobility and interculturality on a daily basis by hosting a young person from the European Solidarity Corps. His presence prepares young people for cultural difference and makes them aware of European citizenship. In this context, the MFR is a partner of the Europe – House of “la Sarthe”. Moreover, the Board of the National Union of MFR encourages international and European mobility. To this end, it fosters MFRs to promote the opennens to Europe and the world for young people by including professional mobility. The Bernay-en-Champagne MFR has adopted this objective for more than 10 years.
