We wanted our students to improve their English so that they can go from a poor English level to an elementary level that would enable them to understand simple sentences from everyday life and to speak with simple vocabulary and structures in order to understand and be understood and communicate fearlessly. We wanted above all to give them the opportunity to get reconciled with the English language and gain confidence in themselves just as in their use of foreign language as their ability to handle things in a foreign country such as getting your bearings in time and space, asking questions and achieving instructions given in English. Eventually we wanted to give our students the opportunity to choose the mobility option for their "baccalauréat" which may allow them to get their exam with merit and make it easier for them to go to college. It is also a chance to enrich their CV when they are looking for a job, thanks to the Europass.
We applied for 3 reasons : 1- Give our students the opportunity to improve their English level by going to an English speaking country in order to use the foreign language in several fields such as daily life in host families, social life and professional life. 2- Give the opportunity to our students to reinforce their professional experience and compare the different practices between countries. 3- Give our students the opportunity to discover another culture with a different way of life,a different language, different landscapes and thus develop tolerance, adaptability and autonomy in order to become open-minded European citizens.
