Objectives

This project has been carefully studied and monitored by the teaching team, the managers of our high school and the parents of our students as well as our intermediary partner, in order to best meet all needs. Indeed, in vocational high school often our students who have enrolled there, have already suffered school failures, even if our establishment is private, we have a very heterogeneous public whose only goal is to succeed. Through this project, a cohesion of the class group emerged, supported by their parents, the parents' association and the management. Thus the differences between the students are less felt, all having the objective of obtaining their Baccalaureate and opening up to Europe through an internship abroad. The implementation of this mobility is in an interest to arouse their interest in developing their desire for mobility which cannot be done without a motivation to practice the English language. Their apprehension of the English language ended up fading over the days of internships and outings, until they became independent. Their level of language remains very low, however, this remains nuanced, because their progress has really increased. Their fear gave way to a certain confidence. It was therefore a very enriching and positive personal experience. From this internship in MALTA, we wanted, thanks to the intermediary partner, the companies and the organization that helps us in our project, that this action be sustainable and that we can send a group of students every year to validate their internship and gain European mobility experience. We did this project 3 years ago due to the pandemic and it was a real success. We try to make it permanent.

Background

This mobility is an integral part of the European strategy led by the LASALLE SAINT-CHARLES establishment, which aims to provide education and training with an emphasis on inclusion and diversity. This trip responds entirely to this strategy, the primary objective of which is to allow young professional high school students to open up to the world and therefore to promote their internationalization and thereby the recognition of the achievements of their learning. Another interest is also to obtain their vocational baccalaureate Commerce, sales and assistance and management of organizations and their activities with a European mention. Thanks to this 3-week internship which is important in their school curriculum, they have gained in maturity and will thus be able to continue their studies abroad or access a BTS of their choice with an emphasis on languages which can be decisive during selections. This professional mobility, while allowing them to validate their diploma, was a way for them to compare their vision of the internships in the tasks they are required to perform. This internship abroad will increase their chances of finding a job in the labor market and promote their employability. This group was made up of 15 young boys and girls from vocational high school European section, minors for the most part selected on a 1st criterion that of the motivation approached in DNL, on the tools produced such as the europass CV which allow to feel their will to s integrate into this project. They were accompanied by two of their teachers who have the responsibility of being present during this period in order to overcome any possible problem, but also to ensure follow-up and evaluations and also to accompany them during cultural visits.
