Through this project we wanted to enhance hospitality and catering vocational studies, often poorly considered so that our students realise that the skills, they acquired at school and through their training in France, are recognized abroad and thus fight school drop out. Acculturation is an essential aspect as well as the openness to other culture from a professional point of view and personal. Get to know other society models is essential to evolve in our society. We wanted our students to adapt themselves to the way of life of the country welcoming them so that they become autonomous in their daily life abroad. Some had never gone abroad. It was thus an opportunity for them to discover that all is possible when you really want it and that they should not be afraid to travel abroad. Finally we wanted them to improve in foreign languages because nowadays speaking a foreign language is definitely driving student or professional mobility in a professional world that goes beyond the national borders.
We decided to apply to this project so that our students in vocational studies get the opportunity to discover a foreign country and train abroad as well as get to know another culture and a professional environment that can be similar to the one of the country but also different. The openness to other countries is also an important project in our school. We develop it step by step because we got the accreditation for students and teachers in vocational studies, we have the "Charte" for higher education and we are now applying for "collège' pupils. Our aim is to open this type of project to most of our students and pupils.
