In a world that is increasingly complex and plagued by successive crises, it is important that in addition to professional skills, students in vocational high schools develop other skills that cut across all sectors of activity: key skills, linguistic and intercultural skills. which together form a common base, guarantee of personal development, social and civic integration and access to employment. The vocational high school cannot be detached from the sectors for which it trains young people. It is therefore important to promote the partnership of establishments with companies in Europe, which ensures professional, educational and intercultural dynamism and boosts innovation, in order to aim for excellence. Cooperation between schools, although varied by their size, location and specialties, also makes it possible to exchange on practices, to make them evolve significantly, which, in the medium term, makes it possible to qualitatively change the learning paths. The networking of high schools of the Grenoble Academy with organizations in Europe also allows the dissemination of our know-how in vocational training and the influence of the Academy.
Our approach is part of the transformation of the professional path promoted by the Minister of National Education, which aims to develop partnerships with companies in France and abroad to promote the professional integration of young people. This project responds to systemic needs specific to vocational high schools. The professional path suffers from difficulties that call for ambitious responses: - a lack of attractiveness linked to insufficient promotion of vocational training; - a training offer that is not always appropriate; - insufficient integration rates (35% of young people are unemployed seven months after the end of their studies). By promoting the mobility of students in the professional environment, VALLEE7 contributes to solving these difficulties by: - making professional training more attractive, - offering training courses that are more in tune with the reality of companies on a European scale, - helping insertion of young people, by allowing them to strengthen skills and attitudes across all sectors of activity, a guarantee of professional performance and development, - enhancing their learning paths.
