Objectives

The objectives of this project were: - To open mobility to all learners and perpetuate the European section in every of our school sectors: Industry, Hospitality, Pastry, Commerce and Sales. - To promote our vocational training to make it more attractive to future learners and create synergy within teaching teams by developing interdisciplinarity. - To join a European policy that encourages more pupils to open up to the world by raising their awareness of European citizenship. - To develop new pedagogical skills thanks to innovative teaching techniques via Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICTE, or its French equivalent TICE) and sustain teacher training for DNL (Non-Linguistic Discipline) certification. - To consolidate and improve results in the baccalaureate, promote further studies in BTS (an equivalent of the HND) - To strengthen language learning - To make the learner play an active role in their learning process and give meaning to learning - To expand students' professional networks internationally. - To be part of a global approach to education for sustainable development according to the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.

Background

For many years, our school plan has chosen a progressive and realistic approach in terms of European mobility by developing, among our learners, the notion of civic culture on the one hand and the promotion of vocational training on the other. Our mobilities have enabled all participants in our tertiary, hospitality and industrial sectors to discover professional and language training - rich in experiences. Since 2020, two other sections have joined the Erasmus + Program: commerce and sales. Thus, this project has grown into a great school plan/programme that involves all our sectors. The steering committee has therefore decided to take advantage of the teaching teams’ skills in these sectors to present a 12-month Erasmus + Project. It has focused on expanding our students’ professional horizons and improving their prospects for employment or further studies while strengthening their sense of European citizenship and their education for sustainable development. The choice fell on two mobilities: one takes place in Cork, Ireland and the other in Berlin, Germany. The 41 participants, aged 17 to 19, come from classes of Terminales. These final-year professional baccalaureate students are both in European and non-European sections.
