For this project, our teams have set themselves important objectives. One of them, essential for us, is to give our learners the opportunity to do a sufficiently long internship period abroad (five weeks) to be able to discover new techniques and ways of working with wood for our students of Terminale Baccalauréat Professionnel and Terminale Brevet Métiers d'Art. Indeed, it is during internships in companies abroad that our students discover new techniques, new machines and that they can put into practice their knowledge and know-how in environments that are previously unknown to them. In addition, during these internships abroad, our students have the opportunity to practice foreign languages learned during their scholarship in France (English and/or Spanish). This is an opportunity for them to become fully aware of the advantages of practicing and mastering a foreign language on a daily basis as well as of any communication difficulties. This project also gives them the opportunity to realize that they are European citizens.
The objective for our vocational school (certified "Wood Crafts") committed in European projects is to give our students (often from disadvantaged backgrounds) the opportunity to complete a training period in a professional environment of five weeks abroad. Also, we want to give them the opportunity to diversify their skills by discovering new know-how and techniques specific to woodworking.
