European mobilities, like all our projects, are part of our educational strategies. In accordance with our European development strategy and our school project, we intend to : - Improve the level of vocational training - Promote accessibility to employment - Fight discrimination and early school leaving - Develop the students’ soft skills The students are also developing human and social abilities, more particularly tolerance and openness through exchange and sharing. They will benefit from a better employability with possible future business trips. In addition to developing their sense of belonging to a European culture, we aim at helping them become curious, attentive and active citizens. Last but not least, offering mobilities to our students is a way to differ from other schools and offer a comprehensive range training as two languages are part of our mobilities on two different grades (2nd year and 3rd year BTEC national diploma).
As a vocational school, we are always seeking ways to enrich the experience of our students in our school. Moreover, our students are considered as a “difficult public” because they’re not comfortable with school and teachers, so these mobilities, along with other projects, reconcile them with the institution. Mobilities have allowed students to work on the language on both backgrounds : the professional one thanks to the placement in a company, as well as a more personal one with the placement in a host family. In addition to the fact they improve their linguistic and professional skills, the students are gaining autonomy and openness towards another culture and the world around them.
