This allowed us to develop new professional skills with young people and staff in job shadowing. The learners were thus able to open up to sustainable development via the aquaponics platform in Spain and organic farming in Ireland. This experience provides a better understanding of the production systems of different species of fish and shellfish. Make young people aware of the essential mastery of a foreign language in order to communicate professionally (import/export, production, maneuver on board, technical vocabulary, etc.) in Spanish, Italian and English. We wanted to develop the self-confidence of young people, both personally and professionally and to strengthen socio-professional skills for better employability, more autonomy, but also to confront the different practices from one country to another. This European openness aims to raise awareness of the expectations, rules and processes that can be encountered in a company. Create a red thread over the 3 years of training and thus enhance their career. Make them actors and ambassadors of mobility at the MFR.
The MFR of Challans has always sought to promote the cultural and professional openness of its learners. We are committed to boosting professional streams by making our learners aware of European citizenship through the Erasmus + system. This experience adds value to their training course. The objective is to offer them better employability on the labor market. The choice of the 2nde class is important in order to show the interest of a first professional experience abroad in their professional development. We hope that this experience will arouse their curiosity, their desire to learn and develop the cohesion of their group. It is also an opportunity for them to discover another country, another culture and another language. Professionally, it is also the opportunity to compare the different production systems (between France and the host countries). By opening them to the world and to others, young people from a rather isolated social background, allows them to open their eyes to the world around them and thus to better understand it. It is also for them the means of exchanging with their internship supervisors on professional techniques.
