Objectives

The main objective was to reduce inequalities between schools, and therefore between students; formative mobility in Europe is identified in the academic project and in the schools' European development projects as a tool to fight against inequalities and to help students gain qualifications. The expectations were to : - increase the number of participating schools, a major objective of the academy. - To avoid certain educational areas being less represented than others, such as rural areas and those on the periphery of the territory (Sambre-Avesnois; Cambrésis; coastal areas). - Mitigate the correlation observed between institutions far from European mobility and 1- low-valued fields of study 2- a rate of further study lower than the academic average by targeting * young women from rural or peripheral areas enrolled in low-valued training courses in personal services and hygiene of premises * institutions whose vocational baccalaureate or CAP holders show little interest in further study despite a high unemployment rate. - Encourage European mobility of staff in vocational training institutions

Background

The academic region of Hauts de France, which has the highest number of young people under 25, is a challenging region in terms of education and access to employment: 17% of students in vocational high schools (VHS) drop out, while more than 1/3 of middle school students are directed to VHS, often by default, by geographical proximity, and not by interest in the profession. PIMEN 2020 is part of a coherent, sustainable and growing policy of European openness decided by the Rectrice of the academic region, steered by the Academic Delegates for European and International Relations and Cooperation (DAREIC) of the Lille and Amiens academies in direct relation with the schools and supported financially by the two public interest groups (GIP Amiens, Lille). The consortium responds to the needs expressed by two types of member institutions : 1- new members who came to the consortium following an academic training initiated and provided by the DAREIC teams, or following a meeting of the mobility referents of establishments involved in a previous consortium (PIMEN in Lille, CIME pro in Amiens). 2- establishments active since the creation of the first academic consortia in Lille in 2013.
