Objectives

The implementation of the project aimed to facilitate the departure on internship-type mobilities for young people with fewer opportunities. We wanted to facilitate either the departure of young people with few qualifications in order to discover a new field of activity or the departure of young people who recently completed a training course and who have difficulties entering the job market. In both cases, the internship abroad would have allowed them to better discover themselves, to gain practical experience in a specific professional field, to make progress in a foreign language and to develop soft-skills.

Background

Parcours le Monde – Grand Est is an association who offers a free personalized support to young people up to the age of 30 who struggle to get into professionnal life in order for them to realize an international mobility. After having developed mobility projects in the field of youth since 2014, the association wanted to diversify the opportunities offered to young adults by proposing professional international mobilities. A partnership with Pole Emploi also allowed the staff of Parcours le Monde to develop skills in supporting job seekers abroad, which encouraged the association to start developing projects in the framework of education and vocational training.
