Objectives

The European and international dimension is at the heart of the E&P project, which has two main objectives 1/ To encourage the generational renewal of solidarity associations in France, Europe and the world, by enabling young people to acquire professional experience with European NGOs. To do this, E&P proposes new forms of commitment that combine professional experience that can be valued on the labour market, and a commitment to meaningful projects that defend rights. 2/ Strengthen partnerships between civil society organisations in France, Europe and the rest of the world that are involved in international solidarity projects. It is only by perpetuating partnerships that we will learn from each other, that we will improve our practices, that we will build an analysis, a common project towards more rights. These two main objectives, structuring for E&P, are also those which guided this Erasmus + project. The last objective of this European project was : 3/ to strengthen our methodology for training and accompanying participants in our exchange programme.

Background

Echanges et Partenariats (E&P) is a training organisation created in 2003 to strengthen partnerships between French and international organisations involved in the field of international solidarity and to respond to the training needs of the younger generation who wish to get involved in projects of social transformation and who challenge themselves to change the city, the world society for more rights and freedoms for all. Our main activity is the implementation of an exchange programme that links these two objectives. This programme is based on youth exchanges and the meeting of partners at national and international level. We applied for this project in order to pursue our action on a European scale by sending young trainees to our partner associations abroad, but also to strengthen the links between our teams and the teams of our European partners via short mobilities. Since 2014, E&P has carried out around twenty mobility projects for learners and staff in education and vocational training (Leonardo da Vinci and then Erasmus +) in the field of international solidarity.
