Background

The mandatory project of the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat de Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine (CMAR N-A) includes two main lines of action to reinforce the attractiveness of apprenticeship training in terms of international policy. First of all, the integration of European mobility into training courses aims to enhance the value of the apprenticeship system and to recognise the learning outcomes in the curriculum. And to have an equally important impact, it is necessary to increase the number of participants in foreign experiences, whether it is short or long, and whether it takes place during or after the apprenticeship period. The aim would be to increase the number of participants from 2% to 4%, allowing a proportionally higher number of learners with learning difficulties, learners from rural areas, and socially disadvantaged groups such as migrants. This strategic axis is an innovative response to the skills needs of the craft sector in the current mandatory project. This internationalisation is recognised as a factor contributing to the fight against unemployment by promoting employability and, more broadly, to opening up to European citizenship.
