Valuing the experience of vocational training abroad as a vector of professionalisation and expertise in the trades, the project "Cultivating links for European expertise in the trades" was intended to enable 35 learners in vocational training courses (CAP, BP and BAC PRO) and 5 staff to gain an understanding of Europe through an internship and to gain an understanding of vocational training through a European experience. The objectives of the project were to promote European mobility in schools, to strengthen the European dimension in the training of learners, to develop European training for staff and to create a network of European partners, the driving force behind innovation in training engineering. The objective was to allow, via a European mobility opportunity, the increase in skills of learners and teams for a sustainable professionalisation of training and jobs.
For several years now, the members of the consortium have taken up the theme of European mobility and have made it a key part of their school project. These establishments submitted a grouped project, coordinated by the CCI Normandie, aimed at students in Bac and Infra Bac apprenticeship training. In 2017, mobility referents were appointed within each establishment to manage the mobility activities of the grouped project. The Normandie-Go! association has been supporting the regional group since 2017 in the engineering of the implementation of European mobility for their learners. In 2019, with the reform of the apprenticeship system, the CFAs of the CCI were no longer under its supervision. At the regional level, the consortium led by the CCI Normandy has dissolved. While some schools were able to join existing consortia, others decided to collaborate in order to manage the engineering of their European mobility projects. Convinced by the collaborative work undertaken by the mobility referents during the previous projects, to reinforce and develop European mobility in their establishments, the FIM Normandie, 3IFA Alençon and EPLEFPA Seine Maritime then turned to the association to coordinate their grouped project. Considering European mobility as a source of professionalisation, the establishments wished to develop the mobility of learners and encourage the mobility of staff.
