The aim was to continue the positive impact that previous projects have had on students in terms of language improvement, the acquisition of professional and above all personal skills (self-esteem, adaptability, autonomy, self-confidence). Ultimately, mobility should improve their employability and social inclusion. We have too often observed that vocational high school students experience academic difficulties, that they have few opportunities, contact with foreigners and that they have a strong fear of leaving their usual environment. Through this experience abroad, the selected students had to improve their language level, acquire new skills and become aware of the value of mobility for training, gaining autonomy, self-confidence, and learning from others. In the long term, we expected our establishment to be more influential, so that the orientation of students towards our high school is not by default but by choice.
Since May 2016 and the first student mobility in November of the same year, a dynamic has been launched within the establishment. The project interests more and more teachers and staff and brings together the educational team and students towards new goals. At the start of the 2017 school year, European mobility became a new focus of the establishment project and the opening of the English Euro class, the same year, gave additional meaning to this project by helping to further improve the attractiveness of our high school. In addition, this European project is supported by the sections present at the school, which have in their reference system and the diploma itself, all the aspects of this openness. Whether it is the future road driver, the logistician or the transport manager, or even automotive and heavy vehicle maintenance, all graduates will be required to work in groups on a European or even international scale, to train throughout their life and to travel to Europe to promote their employability. Thanks to the Erasmus + program, we will be better recognized by French and foreign companies with which closer links can be forged.
