Objectives

The European section in our school has shown a need to consolidate its functioning, its partnerships and its readability for students and families. The development of mobility for the students and teachers of this section has not only allowed them to improve their level of English, but also to become more aware of the European issues at stake in their training. The accompaniment by teachers and management staff on the placement sites has not only made for a more enriching experience for our pupils but also for the acquisition of skills by the teams who carry out the follow-up. Indeed, the contact and dialogue with the placement tutors leads to a better knowledge of the expectations of the partner companies and allows for an adaptation of the training content and even a transfer of skills from the companies to the people in charge of the follow-up. The setting up of new partnerships with Irish companies allows a transition for the mobilities previously taking place in the United Kingdom.

Background

In applying for this project, we wanted to develop an explicit international project with the main aim of raising our learners towards the construction of their identity and their European citizenship. To do this, we wanted to highlight our international project so that it would be easily identified and recognised for its quality by our partners. Our geographical isolation and our rural location are obstacles to this, both from a cultural point of view and from the point of view of our pupils' readiness to enter into this identity and to gain confidence in themselves to carry out mobility. We aim to : - Give our young people the desire for mobility and the discovery of European culture by strengthening their adaptation and integration skills, - Improve our operation and the skills of our teams in the field of European mobility, - Strengthen the support in our school and in the places where our young people are trained, This has been achieved in particular by : - Consolidating, perpetuating and developing our relations with our European partners, - Strengthening our teams' understanding of companies, - Strengthening our quality approach.
