Objectives

It responds to the three axes selected: I - Promote the success of all students II - Helping students to define their career plans III - Living together.

Background

The Lycée Pierre Mendes France (MONTPELLIER), a high school for the Polytechnic professions, with the experience of several successful European mobility projects (LEONARDO : MELEAS 2011-2013; FORWARD MELEAS 2013-2015; Higher Education Mobility in 2016; SESAME@EUROPE in 2017-2019; SEAME@EUROPE 2020) wishes to perpetuate and amplify the actions with its different European partners (Spain, Sweden, Germany) with whom it has contracted partnerships. This Erasmus+ project, ESEA@EUROPE contributes, in its strategy of opening up, to the implementation of the establishment project It responds to the three axes retained: I - Promote the success of all students II - Helping students to define their professional project III - Living together. The group of participants is made up of students who have entered the school within an initial training program that takes place in 3 years (Level IV): - In the industrial field, the professional specialties represented are Mechanics-Auto and Electrical Engineering; - In the tertiary sector, the professional specialties represented are Commerce, Sales, Logistics and Customer Relations. Most of them come from modest or even disadvantaged backgrounds (sensitive neighborhoods) and are involved in a professionalization process. This mobility is a unique opportunity for them to to live a European training experience in a company, and a cultural and linguistic immersion. They rarely have the opportunity to leave the French territory and to open up to other cultures because of a lack of financial means. The impact of this mobility on our young students, who are often in academic difficulty, can only be very positive and rewarding. This total immersion in a different environment will be a favorable situation for the acquisition of professional, behavioral, linguistic, social and cultural skills. Levers implemented : - Supported by the Étoile label (Label Langues), the strong investment in international openness and the number of teachers with DNL certification, to promote the practice of modern languages in professional situations. - Existence of 6 European sections (English, Spanish); - Interest in the competence in modern languages for the pursuit of studies, and the obtaining of diplomas or qualifications, for integration and for cultural openness. - Use digital tools to communicate, exchange, share and evaluate... The indicators that will measure these results will be based in part on satisfaction questionnaires administered to students, teachers and company internship tutors. These questionnaires will be analyzed and the results will be communicated in a report to the management team for information and follow-up, as well as to the participating members. For all these students who will be involved in this mobility, this new knowledge of the European work environment should favour their future professional integration. Their success in the Professional Baccalaureate (with the obtaining of a mention) and their continuation of studies in BTS will also be significant indicators of the relevance of this project.
