Objectives

The aim of this project was to increase the mobility of vocational school students in the hotel and catering sector, in order to offer these students, who are often far from mobility, an academic and professional career rich in discoveries, learning, experiences and encounters. By bringing these three high schools together in the same consortium, the project sought to strengthen the network of hospitality and catering professions in the 'Académie de Paris' through the sharing of certain practices relating to the internationalisation of schools. This choice of a micro-consortium also aimed to strengthen the teams' skills in managing European projects, with a goal of greater autonomy. Finally, the project aimed to contribute to the promotion of the vocational education and of these highly insertive training courses.

Background

The CAPMOB'MHR project was submitted in 2020 to meet the needs of mobility, European openness and skills development of vocational school students, but also to be part of a context of revalorisation of vocational education, with a strong project around one vocational field, that of the hotel and catering professions. The project aimed to pursue a dynamic already anchored in the practices of the three Parisian public vocational high schools offering curricula in this sector, in order to give learners the opportunity to carry out their period of work placement in Europe, and to conduct experiments with the reception of experts through incoming mobility. This thematic consortium project was also part of the perspective of building a professional network, in the continuity of the Paris School of Tourism and Hospitality,
