The main objective of the CAPMOB'MOD-E project was to provide mobility to vocational training students enrolled in the fashion and aesthetics sectors for a work placement abroad. These European experiences for a public that is mostly far from mobility aimed at developing professional and technical skills, but also soft skills useful to integrate the labor market and meet the expectations of companies and designers. Participation in this project also aimed at the internationalisation of the consortium's organisations and a renewed motivation of the teaching teams involved in an inspiring and meaningful project. By offering learners and accompanying staff a mobility experience, CAPMOB'MOD-E also sought to reinforce the feeling of belonging to the European Union. Finally, in a context of promotion of the vocational education, the project aimed at offering a showcase to the fashion and aesthetics vocational curricula, and to promote these French trades and arts and crafts.
The Academy of Paris has applied to this Erasmus+ project for young people in vocational training in a context of reform and enhancement of the vocational education and training system, especially for the insertion of young people in fashion industry. This reform aims to improve young people's access to these exciting professions and to give them the necessary skills to succeed in these sectors which are constantly evolving. By presenting ourselves to this project, we wanted to be part of this same line and offer young people an opportunity to discover new professional and cultural horizons. Moreover, a professional experience abroad for young people in the fashion industry is formative. It is an excellent opportunity for young people to perfect their skills in their field of study and to discover different cultures and trends in the fashion industry. Finally, this registration was made in a logic of virtual campus of the trades because it gathered all the Parisian public vocational schools representing this sector of fashion and aesthetics and aimed at a logic of professional pathway and development of competences adapted to the real needs of companies.
