This mobility project was conducted with the following objectives in mind: - To show the importance of foreign languages, encouraging students to improve or acquire new linguistic skills, in this case in Spanish, in order to communicate and to realize the importance of learning foreign languages in general, even in professional fields; - Provide an additional asset in the resume that gives value to their application when applying for a job, by allowing them to obtain the Europass document that attests to the professional skills acquired abroad; - To develop new skills essential in our rapidly changing world, such as adaptability, sharing, self-confidence, independence and autonomy. - To bring an open mind to their belonging to Europe thus strengthening the feeling of European citizenship with the rights and freedoms that come with it such as studying, travelling, working... - Promoting intercultural encounters.
Our high school, which is located in the city, welcomes students from all geographical backgrounds. Most of the time, these students are not very familiar with European matters, yet they are the future actors of Europe. Programs such as Erasmus+ are a real opportunity to meet and share, allowing young people to discover Europe and to develop their open-mindedness by being faced with different cultures and ways of thinking and behaving. For many years, our school has been committed to European openness by offering European certifications such as the TOEIC, language stays or exchanges in Scotland, Spain... and Erasmus+ mobility projects that have enabled some students to complete training periods in a professional environment. Strengthened by these experiences, the students have grown and have been able to acquire other skills such as autonomy, experiment with new professional skills and, if necessary, enhance the value of French know-how, which also makes the professional sector more attractive. Our project, because of its specificities, was fully in line with this guideline and thus became meaningful.
