European mobility should help young people to acquire an open mind, autonomy, openness to the outside world, share professional skills to adapt to and discover another culture, and at least find interest in learning a foreign language. Our ambition to encourage mobility is receiving favorable echoes in our regions and the commitment of the 17 MFRs is a sign of this. Our cross-border position with Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany is also an important factor in the development of mobility. In fact, 7% of the Grand-Est population works in one of these 3 countries. We have the will to develop this aspect with the organization of cross-border mobility.
The contribution of the MFR to European citizenship is affirmed at the heart of the movement's project. To do this, the challenge is to allow access to European mobility to the greatest number of young people and professionals from rural areas. This with the aim of confronting his skills, in particular for soft skills, and his professionals skills for adults. This makes it possible to participate in the process of supporting young people in the construction of their personality and professional skills. The integrative work-study pedagogy of the MFR is fully in line with the organization of various professional experiences during the training course. The internship abroad therefore appeared as an evidence. The FRMFR Grand EST formed an ERASMUS consortium in 2013 with 6 MFRs. This program is today the involvement of the 17 MFRs of the MFR Grand Est network who are now part of the consortium.
