The objectives of the project were the following: -For the learners: to gain knowledge and skills by benefiting from European expertise, to develop transversal and linguistic skills, to develop the understanding of European citizenship, to illustrate the importance of opening up to other cultures (professionally and personally) -For the trainer-accompanists: to gain knowledge about the ways of doing things in Europe (pedagogically and at the forestry level), to create exchanges with local trainers, to develop their integration in the Europeanisation of training wanted by the Centre Forestier, to strengthen the learner-trainer link. -For the Centre Forestier: to guarantee a quality of training through periods abroad, to meet the needs and desires of learners, to develop European exchanges and partnerships, to change the image of forestry professions through training activities that go beyond the traditional schemes. -For host partners: develop their European network of training centres, develop exchanges (of personnel, skills, knowledge, etc.), enable exchanges between local and European learners, make Europe and the opportunities it offers visible.
The Centre Forestier's application for this project is to be understood as part of a European development plan developed over 25 years ago. This European development plan is based on two pillars -European mobility for forestry trainees -European projects (Erasmus+ and Interreg) Thanks to European mobilities, learners and apprentices of the Centre Forestier : -Develop their knowledge, skills and aptitudes in a different training context -Get to know and learn to work in new forestry contexts environments -Benefit from forestry and training expertise developed in other European regions -Develop their transversal skills: self-confidence, adaptability, responsibility... -Become aware of the opportunities offered in their professional sector by Europeanisation and internationalisation -Develop a new understanding of their status as European citizens and of the permeability of borders in the context of employment and forestry training -Better understand the international dimension of the forestry market and employment in this sector. -Strengthen their motivation for their training. These benefits of mobility have been noted for many years at Centre Forestier, and were once again verified during this project.
