We wanted to offer a number of learners the opportunity to have a European experience while respecting the general objectives we had set ourselves: to improve employability, improve language skills and guarantee equal opportunities. In addition, implementing these projects offers a significant outreach and additional attractiveness to our establishments. These projects are unifying both at the level of students and members of the teaching team. We also wanted to promote and encourage an opening up to Europe so that participants can better perceive the contributions of the European Union in their daily lives and become aware of their status as European citizens. We also think it is important to encourage students to open up to other cultures and discover other ways of life. The implementation of this project has also enabled some staff members to increase the quality of education provided in schools and to broaden their professional skills by discovering new pedagogical practices. In addition, incoming mobilities have played an essential role since they have allowed nonparticipants in mobility to discover other cultures and thus deconstruct some of their prejudices. These exchanges also facilitate future mobilities and awaken in some the desire to participate in a mobility.
With significant experience for more than 20 years now and within a long-term Consortium, our vocational training institutions are committed to the process of European and international mobility aimed at promoting the professional integration of students. We are aware that mobility is a major asset and brings added value both to our students and our schools. The latter are, in fact, located in a landlocked region: 3 establishments are even located in rural revitalization areas. Thus, we offer opportunities to open up to Europe to students for whom a departure on mobility would not have been conceivable without the Erasmus system. In addition, we applied for this new project because our ties have strengthened and we work with confidence by collaborating effectively. Thus, we have gained in expertise and ease when writing the various projects. Given the success of previous projects and the enthusiasm aroused by our learners and our staff, we wanted to continue our collaboration.
