For the students, this (first) mobility experience was about : Ø develop their autonomy and their ability to adapt, by going abroad to do their internship, by preparing, informing themselves and participating in the organization of their stay. Ø discover a foreign language and culture, before and during the mobility by taking courses thanks to the Erasmus+ online language support and thanks to the visit of ESC volunteers from partner countries to our schools; during the mobility, by immersing yourself in the local culture for 4 weeks, or even several months for those who will confirm their experience by a request for a long term mobility in the host country. Ø Strengthen the position of students with diplomas or certificates on the job market in France and in the EU Ø To spread their interest in European mobility to other students who might be interested in going the following year and to build on this first experience in order to set up a long term mobility after their graduation. For the teachers and the schools, we wanted to use this mobility experience to: Opening up institutions to the outside world Review and enrich the content of the training courses, putting into perspective the teaching habits and integrating the results of meetings and enriching professional experiences. Create a new dynamic among teachers and staff by encouraging them to get involved in a unifying, cohesive Project Develop and maintain consultation between teachers and management, and between the establishments in the group, on the mobility project; on departure procedures, the selection of students, the dates of the internship and the host organizations (pooling of partners, resources, knowledge, etc.). Lifelong learning Prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow by finding European partners who can provide them with innovative experience Strategy on the curriculum of a student And last but not least, to reinforce the visibility and image of our establishments outside

Background

This project was the first one submitted by a consortium of 4 high schools, from which 3 had never set up a mobility within the framework of the Erasmus program. IDC, has provided the expertise and the implementation of projects with a thorough quality, respecting the standards of the commission. The idea of this first project was to implement levers to the obstacles of European mobility. We wanted to develop the partnership in order to find places for internships abroad and in various destinations. Every high school wanted to see an improvement of the mobility possibilities for learning purposes and an increase of the opportunities to access to a new mobility for the students of professional high schools (a first mobility before 18 years demystifies mobility itself). Thanks to the implementation of this project, the institutions wanted to see a reinforcement of the European dimension in the established project and in the interest of the learners and of the teams for the mobility, in order to create learning possibilities throughout life for all. Our rural high school students will be therefore able to increase their chances of being accepted into a BTS on file or of obtaining access to a completely financed internship.
