Objectives

One of the main objectives of the consortium has been to give apprentices and young graduates the opportunity to live an experience of international mobility in order to discover their job from another angle and to practice a foreign language on a daily basis. The VET organisms also sought to set up and develop a network for exchanging good practices with the other participants, in particular allowing the pooling of documents concerning the preparation and monitoring of apprentice mobility. This was possible in particular thanks to the coordination provided by the Region, which contributed to the exchange of good practices by setting up a collaborative platform and meetings organized on a regular basis. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the objective of increasing the number of beneficiaries could not be achieved. On the other hand, new partnerships have emerged thanks to the Region's cooperation network, in particular with the Land of Hesse and the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Background

The Region ensures close consistency between its actions to support mobility and its European and international policy. It associates the various mobility stakeholders of the territory with current or future cooperation projects in order to strengthen and create partnerships in connection with the regional policies supported. With an educational, economic and social ambition, it wishes to develop access to European and international mobility for young people through mobility aid schemes it puts in place. The objective is to allow young people from the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine to have a significant experience abroad, because they are the ones who will bring regional dynamism tomorrow through their creativity, their knowledge, and their ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment. With expertise in setting up and steering European projects, the Region has been called upon by various educational and vocational training establishments to make use of its project engineering and its skills as an administrative and financial coordinator to help various partners to support mobility initiatives for young learners in the area.
