Objectives

Within the framework of this VET Watch 3 project, ADICE wanted to promote the professional integration of its public (in particular people with fewer opportunities) by proposing 3 or 6 month placements to VET learners. These mobilities are an opportunity to develop professional skills in a field defined beforehand with the project leaders. It is a framework to promote the social integration of the participants since it allows them to have an opportunity to work in an international context and to develop key skills that are essential to value in a job search. The objective was therefore to make international mobility a key element of the participants' career path and to ensure that it is in line with their past and future experiences while being accompanied before, during and after. This accompaniment aims to adapt the placement of the participants according to their background, the sector of activity, their needs and their expectations.

Background

ADICE works for social and professional advancement by offering everyone the opportunity to experience life abroad in a region, the Hauts-de-France, with one of the highest unemployment rates in France. ADICE considers that mobility is a lever towards employment and enables participants to acquire valuable skills on their return. ADICE accompanies participants in this development to facilitate their integration into the labour market. Since 2019, the association is recognised as a training organisation. The EFP internship has become a major tool of the International Mobility cluster, enabling participants to boost their career with a professional experience during which they develop professional, personal and social skills. This scheme makes it possible to respond to the direct needs of jobseekers to become more professional in their field and to offer alternatives to volunteer missions that do not always allow for the development of technical skills. EFP mobilities respond to the challenges of the territory and fit in with the ambitions of social and professional integration detailed in ADICE's internationalisation strategy.
