Background

Meeting the learning needs of older people and ensuring that they are engaged in learning throughout their later years, which are becoming an increasingly long period of their lives, are important and growing challenges. Adult learners not only need better literacy, they also need better digital literacy. The "digital skills gap" is widening in Europe. With the development of technology, a period that exists especially among adults over 55, but which deepens with the isolation experienced during the covid 19 process and the social, psychological and existential problems it brings, Our project focuses on three main needs: 1. While rapid changes, the virtual world, technological advances are defined as important requirements in social and economic life, Covid 19 is no longer a need and has become a necessity. Numerous scientific studies and EU reports on adult education confirm this. 2. The Covid 19 process is not only a process of pandemic and isolation, but also a sociological process that has to be evaluated with social transformation and new arguments. In this context, the risk group of adults over 55 years of age and isolation has established the feeling of loneliness. In this context, intergenerational learning will strengthen social and societal ties and provide a link to the past for the future. 3. "As many sources show, storytelling is a very important part of personal and social memory and cultural heritage. In particular, the experiences and fiction-sized stories that adults over 55 tell are a very important method for intergenerational learning, as well as being a record for oral history.
