Final report summary

The “Let's Light On the Solution” project, based on light and the use we make of it, was a partnership between Italy, Poland and Portugal. It was a response to the needs of partner schools for the development of key skills, now essential in student learning. During the project activities, partner organizations organized a series of courses for teachers to enable them to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to teach these skills in their daily teaching. The project focused on the theme of light and all teaching and learning activities organized for the participants were linked to this. Workshops, training, meetings with experts and project-based activities have been integrated into the programs and curricula of partner schools. So, students from partner schools were able to develop their scientific, mathematical and digital skills, improve their reading and communication skills in a foreign language, deepen their knowledge in civic education, biology, chemistry and physics. This also had a great influence on the development of their social skills. Project activities included short-term student exchanges, which allowed participants to experience the education systems of other European countries and gain new knowledge. This will provide them with opportunities to continue their studies in the future. The project has also had a significant influence on local communities, thanks to the increase activity of partner schools in organizing cultural events and cooperation with other educational establishments. Lesson plans and teaching materials using the innovative teaching methods created as part of the project will ensure its sustainability. Building on the experience carried out over several years in European partnership projects, through this new project we succeeded in enabling students to complete their educational journey through the practice of scientific, technological and artistic experiments.
