Project summary

As part of a work on the specific topic of the first professional experience, the pupils are asked to exchange, discover the professional world (companies, associations and public administrations). They forge links, build relationships which enable them to get to know each other better and to better understand the world of work at European level (=in Europe). Their curriculum are different but each student must complete at least one internship between September 2020 and June 2022. This project is therefore a source of inspiration and motivation for students but also for teachers who will have the opportunity to discover the different pedagogical approaches that prepare students as soon as they enter their internship. It is a way to boost continuous professional development. The cross-cutting skills targeted by this project are manifold : - Encourage students motivation: the student finds his/her place in his/her class group but also in the group created on Etwinning in contact with students from other classes. The student must be able to gain self-confidence and self-esteem after the project. This project should enable the students to gain in self-confidence and self-esteem. - Encouraging students to get organized : through exchanges and the various activities offered, students must plan their tasks to carry out the expected work/ the work expected. - Facilitate students’ orientation: thanks to the various exchanges within the framework of the project, the pupil questions his/her choices and confronts them with other young people. He/she refines his educational orientation and his/her personal professional project by verbalizing and highlighting it. - Foster cooperation and collaboration: tasks will sometimes be proposed individually (everyone must create their CV for example), but also collectively (presenting their city, their region for example can be done in small groups). - Foster communication: students will use all written and oral communication tools (exchange of documents, photos and videos, etc.). - Promote imagination and creation: students will be encouraged to create original documents to introduce themselves, to present their city or the profession they have chosen. - Improvement of foreign languages: English and Spanish

Final report summary

Background The 3 partner establishments have completed their first ERASMUS+ application. The partner schools were quick to launch the project in September 2020. They enabled their students and teachers to work intensively together on the theme of their first professional experience. Over the course of 3 years, the students exchanged information on their discoveries of the professional world (companies, associations and public administrations). They forged links that enabled them to get to know each other better and gain a better understanding of the world of work at European level. The teachers were also able to discuss different pedagogical approaches to preparing and accompanying students on work placements. Despite the different reference frameworks, each student completed at least three periods of workplace training during their schooling between September 2020 and June 2023. This Erasmus+ project has been a source of cultural and professional inspiration for the students, as well as for the teachers, who have had the opportunity to discover and compare other pedagogical approaches that promote the professional integration of young people. Typology of participating organizations Le Chatelier vocational high school in Marseille is a "city policy" school located in the city center, close to some of Europe's poorest neighborhoods, including Belle de Mai and Félix Pyat. The school prepares around 480 students for careers in industry (Bac Pro Maintenance des équipements industriels) or the service sector. The students taking part in the project come from disadvantaged socio-professional backgrounds, with little experience of mobility outside Marseille. Their course of study is "Bac professionnel Assistance à la Gestion des Organisations et de leurs Activités", with a view to joining a small or medium-sized company, public body or association as an administrative agent. Lycée Le Chatelier has registered with the Académie d'Aix-Marseille consortium from September 2021 to enable students to take part in a professional internship program abroad. The IES Val do Asma de Chantada in Spanish Galicia is a school that accompanies pupils from primary to post-Bac. The students selected prepare a management and economics curriculum with a view to professional integration in the region's tertiary sector. The Lycée polyvalent Lama-Prévot in Cayenne, French Guiana, offers a wide range of general, technological and vocational courses to students from all socio-professional backgrounds in an affluent district of the city. Activities implemented All the activities initially planned at the start of the project were carried out, with new ones added as needs arose.
