Objectives

Europe has the largest maritime area in the world. The “Movement for the SEA” project is an artistic encounter between 18 young Europeans (Greek and French), more than half of whom are disabled, most of whom are engaged in regular artistic creation. The objective of the project will be to raise awareness, mobilize and unite young people, whether they are disabled or not, around environmental issues, through a double approach of artistic creation and ecological action around aquatic activities. Regular meetings with a group of 4 young refugees from the Toulon Catholic relief center are planned; they will take part in some of the scheduled activities. After the success of the two previous projects around dance and the sea "Make the Sea dance" in 2018 at La Farlède in France and "Between Sea and Land" in 2019 in Porto Rafti in Greece, we wish to continue with new partners Greek our artistic work around the theme of the sea, by associating with it a much more refined and developed environmental dimension. The sea will serve as the basis for artistic creation during all artistic events and throughout the exchange. But also activities around the ecosystem with the intervention of specialists in the matter will be organized. During previous projects, we had been able to understand the power of the Sea on the construction of the person, individually but also collectively, and more particularly, in the very strong relationships that this aquatic environment provides in terms of collaboration, support and mutual aid. These are the founding values that we will develop again during the "Movement for the Sea" project. The goal is to allow young participants to learn from each other by adapting to an artistic residency, by developing their collaborative and open-minded skills, regardless of their bodily or cognitive potential, their social origin and cultural but also their artistic discipline. It is also about pushing young people to creativity and self-employment but also to integration into a working group and The aim is to educate the participants to Mediterranean's biodiversity and preservation through fun and educational activities. With "MoMER" project, young people will be awared to the "good" gestures to promote biodiversity in their environment in order to respect the nature and to limit our impact on these environments. MoMER will develop environmental responsibility for everyone.
