In our work on the project "Science is the Poetry of Reality" we relied on the STEM approach, the features of which really help to solve many problems. STEM - an abbreviation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This approach involved the integration of these areas in one non-formal educational process. The immersion of young people in science and technology in their school years motivated young people to choose the professions associated with them. This was important in general for all the partner countries of this youth exchange. Future young innovators to receive high-quality and solid knowledge in the field of natural and technical sciences in a project organized by our network combined with 21st-century skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in the context of innovative opportunities and current needs of society. Our exchange was concentrated on astronomy, sociology, IT, and the importance that these sciences have in our lives. All this was achieved by means of funny and informative activities, workshops, discussions and brainstorming games. The objective of our exchange was to broaden the participants’ perspective on astronomy, sociology, and IT by expert workshops from the faculty on selected topics, practical exercises and observations, and exchange of experiences. One of the main aims of our exchange was also to help young people to learn and communicate in another language. We organized activities – with social, cultural, historical and scientific aspects – included to get participants talking to each other.
