The programm of the youth exchange and the overall flow helped us to reach the aim and the objectives set for the project. The main activity focused on providing the content and context to reach specific objectives, and thereby step by step reach the aim we have set. The project followed a coherent flow that provided the participants with the necessary understanding and tools to become socially active in their communities, to express themselves using creativity. Each activity gave participants opportunity to explore and experiment with different tools and methods within creative performance and art to raise awareness about Human Rights issues. The first part of the activity Highlighted the overall topic that forms the basis of this project: Human Right Education and social change. We worked with different types of performance art including Forum Theatre as an artistic tool for expression to address a message aiming to generate a change. We focused on being creative and innovative when creating different settings for our public performances using different attributes and creating personages. Participants shared ideas, experiences, good practices and also shared with each other personal stories in the frame of Human Library which motivated on creating the settings for later. This activity of sharing stories focused on following objectives: To create a comfortable atmosphere without barriers to express oneself; To create a space to talk about hate crime issues existing in our societies and how it affects our lives and mental state To gain specific artistic skills ( theatre performances) and competences to express ourselves creatively; (with the help of different improvisational activities and games) To create a multiplying effect by setting up an internet platform to share our work and inspire others To develop a readiness to act, sense of initiative and entrepreneurial mindset through taking part in organising local activities and public events Throughout all the activities of the project, the following objectives were addressed: To empower each other to address these issues creatively; To develop exchanging atmosphere to reflect on cultures, learn more about other cultures, foster intercultural dialogue, learning and awareness; To promote the public performances to address different issues; To create artistic performance together to find solution on concrete issues; To create a link between different layers of our society promoting tolerance and empathy towards each other.
