We wanted to give participants the opportunity to take part in an experience that would allow them to learn in a non-formal way. Thus, "Youth for the World" (Georgia), "EIVA" (Romania), AEGEE (Ukraine) and "Léo Lagrange Centre Est" (France) joined forces to create the project Growing Futur in Outdoor Life focused on environmental issues. The association in Georgia that hosted us has various experiences in organising outdoor educational activities. Our host has guaranteed us a quality learning space while meeting the objectives of an international youth exchange. Indeed, "Youth for the World" promotes peace and equality, and fights against discrimination and prejudice in Georgia but also in the partner countries through their previous experiences. Our partner in Ukraine is an international organisation that brings together many groups of young people who gather according to their interests for the creation of many activities related to citizenship. They have a group of young people who are the creators of an urban/community/vegetable garden in their communities. They have therefore brought the necessary knowledge to the project. AEGEE works with ecological concerns and their practices improved the project and the activities carried out. The Romanian partner mainly addressed the active participation of young people and their involvement in society. The partner uses a top-down approach so that the decisions taken are as close as possible to the people concerned. Through this, EIVA provided expertise on the process of youth participation. On the other hand, it also helped to create a process between the participants and their communities, in order to set up activities directly linked to the local environment and the inhabitants. The young people from the French association shared their knowledge of youth initiatives and educational event management. As a result, they proposed outdoor and dynamic activities as a tool for non-formal education. In addition to this, Léo Lagrange supports various initiatives directly from young people. Some of the young people are involved in projects related to environmental initiatives in Europe, but also for a greener local community, so they shared their experience. The objectives of the project were as follows: 1. To raise awareness among young people about environmental challenges and climate change in order to induce a more eco-responsible behaviour. To meet this objective we created activities that encourage reflection on environmental issues and the search for solutions. 2. To make the Erasmus+ programme visible and to show the impact that a youth exchange has on young people, both behaviourally and mentally. To this end, activities in the streets of Mtskheta promoted the Erasmus+ programme, gave participants the tools to inform their peers about the Erasmus+ programme and to share the project in their respective countries. 3. To encourage civic participation by making them aware of the impact they have in society. A number of activities enabled participants to understand what active citizenship is and to carry out citizenship actions in their country. 4. Understanding the importance of local projects and how they are set up The participants created and developed a local project. This project highlighted the Erasmus+ programme through very important themes such as sustainable development and youth participation. Through this topic, the participants were involved in environmental issues not only during the project but also back in their country. Finally, we gave the chance to young people with fewer opportunities in priority to participate in this project in order to give them equal learning opportunities. For example, the Ukrainian women were able to participate in this project despite the war conditions in their country.
