The project "Hashtag Europe" took place two years late in two phases in Marseille and Tetovo. The two activities in Marseille and Tetovo are part of this project carried out by Une Terre Culturelle in cooperation with its partners Pangera e.V. Berlin and Center for Balkan Cooperation LOJA Tetovo. The aim of the project was to teach the participants to take a step back from the virtual world which seems so innocent but which can turn into a big real movement. It is necessary for media users to be aware of the extent of the activity on social networks in order to be able to use it in the right way. An intercultural exchange that integrates this theme on the basis of mutual respect is a strengthening experience for young people in their personal and professional orientation, especially since this experience is accompanied by linguistic, historical and cultural learning and the acquisition of skills on the use of the media, very important for young people who are actors of the future. Moreover, the participants learned how to work in a multinational and intercultural group by overcoming language barriers through linguistic animations and with the help of interpreters. Various activities made up the program of the exchange: linguistic animations, activities of sharing visions of Europe, as well as sessions of artistic creation around the influence of images on societal discourses. We designed alternative publications for social networks to formulate our vision of a Europe that emancipates itself from all forms of populism. This artistic work was the common thread of the three phases. The participants were young people from 14 to 18 years old and from disadvantaged areas. Our ambition was to make mobility offers accessible to those who had not yet had the opportunity to enjoy the benefits and advantages of such an experience for financial or social reasons. These reasons are very often rooted in the overall disadvantaged situation of these young people. Indeed, not only do they have fewer opportunities in terms of mobility but also in terms of school education, professional integration, etc. The project therefore aimed to support these young people in the long term and not only during the period of the action, so that they gain experience and skills that will then open up more possibilities in various areas of their lives. In the same vein, youth involvement in the activities was a core value for our project. The youth and their contributions were the focus of the activities. Although the activities were prepared by the team, the reflections and discussions were somewhat directed, the free space for the contributions of the youth was at the center of the preparations of the activities and this with the aim of supporting, strengthening and testing the autonomy of the youth.
