The Vaunières reception center is located in the heart of a mountain cirque, at an altitude of 1,200 meters. This old abandoned hamlet has been renovated over the years by groups of young people as part of construction activities. Our construction and restoration methods aim to showcase local materials and artisan techniques. As a reception center, we want to reconcile environmental protection and tourism development. In this, we are fully in the field of ecotourism. Today, around twenty people live in the hamlet (young people entrusted to Social Assistance for Children, international volunteers, permanent employees) and welcome other people throughout the year (social stays, classes discoveries, vacation stays, international projects, artist residencies, etc.). A team of employees on the path to integration also come to work every day in the hamlet, with the inhabitants and the groups received. The permanent accommodation capacities are limited, which leads the association to consider other forms of housing, and in particular light housing such as yurts, trailers, tiny houses, etc. In Europe, we are witnessing the development of alternative habitats such as light habitats, but also the emergence of new forms of habitat, such as shared, inclusive or even collaborative housing. Lifestyle or tourist practice, light habitats, or eco-habitats, attract and arouse curiosity. The same goes for living differently, in a co-habitation setting, whatever it may be. Moreover, young Europeans are increasingly aware of the ecological crisis and in countries where urban areas are constantly expanding, the issue of ecotourism and local development in rural areas appears to be a real issue. We therefore wanted to allow participants to discover the richness of the rural world by meeting various local actors. This project aims to bring participants to create together, express their cultural differences but also (and above all), collectively seek what brings them together, regardless of their origins and their individual backgrounds. We want to enable young people to understand what the European Union is and thus help them to feel that they are European citizens. We invite young Spanish, Greek, Turkish and French people to come and discuss the different forms of housing, as well as living in a rural environment and providing a place of welcome while respecting the local environment. The geographical location of the hamlet of Vaunières will allow participants to experience a certain way of life; this will feed their reflections and their discussions throughout the project. Goals : - Allow young people to reflect on the issue of housing and ecotourism in rural areas - Raise awareness among young people about environmental protection, thanks to the eco-responsible actions practiced in the Vaunières reception center - Make young people aware of gender diversity by offering them a collective experience in an international reception center - Support young people in the development of knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills, through living together and doing together - Encourage the involvement of young people in the dissemination of the project, through the organization of a cultural even
