The aim of the project was to encourage initiatives by young Europeans in the field of solidarity and respect for the environment, by removing the difficulties that their age or experience do not yet allow them to resolve. the environment, by removing the difficulties that their age or experience do not yet allow them to resolve. The aim of the "Young leaders in solidarity from one end of Europe to the other" project was to enable young people to work together on issues ofand ecology through joint action. The exchange was therefore built around two poles: solidarity and ecology. Both subjects are of great interest to young people. The solidarity initiatives were to be based on the Estonian association's long experience of helping people who are isolated and in great need, particularly the elderly and people from Russian immigrant families. The aim of the ecological actions was to ensure that there was a reciprocal contribution based on the respective experiences of the young Estonians and French (operation "let's clean up nature", exchanges of good practice, DIY, zero waste activities, digital pollution, etc.). We have called this project "Young Leaders in Solidarity from one end of Europe to the other" because we think it is significant that that France is at the extreme west of the European Union and Estonia, on the border with Russia, is at the extreme east of the EU. of the EU. The idea of young leaders rising up in solidarity from one end of Europe to the other is very close to our hearts. Through this exchange, we also aimed to ensure that the young people would be able to pass on 'good practice' in terms of solidarity and ecology, but that it would also be an opportunity for them to develop a sense of initiative, self-esteem and a taste for action in the service of society.
