We wanted to connect with colleagues from other schools for a purpose improving the quality of teaching and creating a network of collaborators and a larger base of teaching content; then create networks contacts of teachers and schools from program countries and plan eTwinning projects and Erasmus+ strategic with them partnerships.

Background

The main reason was the lack of competence in working with students with special needs (those with reduced opportunities of all kinds, gifted children, children whose mother tongue is not Croatian...) and we wanted to improve teaching using innovative and modern methods, other work with students as well as the school atmosphere for both students and teachers and professional associates, and indirectly also parents. That's why we wrote our European development plan, determined goals and priorities in the following years and considered what competencies we want to develop in teachers and experts associates. First of all, we wanted to make school life easier for students, and then for teachers, and to improve quality school atmosphere for all students and employees. We decided to seek new experiences, approaches and methods from our colleagues at other countries as well as on structured courses organized by experienced and competent organizations. Therefore, we chose the Erasmus+ KA1 program as the most ideal for our needs. We decided on 8 structured ones courses lasting 5-8 days and one job shadowing lasting 2 working weeks during which we improved new knowledge, innovative methods, approaches, values and attitudes in education today in the EU
