By implementing the project, the school wanted to achieve the following goals: • enable employees to improve their competencies by participating in various educations: pedagogical and didactic work methods, use of different media and integration of ICT in teaching, inclusive practice, management skills • implement use different content optimally, work methods and tools in teaching in order to improve student's key competencies. • create more high-quality extracurricular content for students and employees who, through non-formal and informal learning, improve the key competencies of students and spend their free time better. • improve the management of the institution through the cooperation of the principal with school teams, the Students' Cuncil and the Parents' Cuncil • develop further international cooperation of the school
The administration of Maritime-technical school in Dubrovnik indentified the need for additional training of employees in order to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and experience in teaching, extracurricular activities and the managemant of the institution. Due the better implementation of the national curricular reform in general and vocational education, it was necessary to educate employees about induction of new teaching methods focused on student's activity as the central subject of the educational process. There was a lack of use of digital tools in the teaching process and in the creation of new contents, especially in vocational subjects. A change was needed in the creation of students' free time through a variety of exstracurricular activities so that students could also acquire key competencies in an informal way. Duet to constant changes in education, it was necessary to strengthen the management competencies of the school through the work of the principal, The Team for Quality as well as the Project Team and to work on further internationalization of the institution.
