To improve foreign language teachers and pedagogues for contemporary teaching using the Montessori method trought mobility to Finland at the Pontus school in the city of Laaperanta. To perfect the professional service of the school in implementing the service-learning method through mobility to the bilingual school Colegio San Jose in the city of Valladolid in Spain. To perfect the computer science teacher for the use of modern ICT technology in the implementation of English language teaching and socially useful learning through mobility ato Finland at the Pontus school in the city of Laaperanta Improve the school director in all three areas; implementation of bilingual teaching, service-learning methods and learning foreign languages according to the Montessori approach through mobility to Finland to the Pontus school and to the school Colegio San Jose in Spain. Improve the school principal and teacher's knowledge of the English language through a course in Great Britain.
Our school needs are: 1. Internationalization of education through bilingual classes in English. We have a growing number of foreign students. They have been well accepted in the school community, while supporting the development of Croatian students through cultural enrichment. Therefore, we would love to enable both foreign and local students to have bilingual classes starting form 1st grade. Furthermore, Montessori approach to teaching English would be applied to facilitate the knowledge of other nations’ cultures, lifestyles and the European cultural heritage. Montessori method is a unique approach to teaching with its guiding idea: ‘Help me to do it myself’. Montessori method is in line with our school’s motto ‘Let’s build a person’, central to our aims of creating a community based on tolerance and philanthropy. Our school is only school in our region that has classes organised for the children at the Split Clinical Hospital Centre. There could be numerous projects that would involve students helping other students who are at the hospital. One of the most useful methods that could be used is ‘service learning’.so we want to introduce it as a method of learning with volunteering that we already are conducting.
