Based on the results obtained from the process of self-evaluation of the school's work quality, the new requirements that society sets for the teacher as part of the School for Life reform and in accordance with the long-term Development Plan of the School, key areas of activity and goals for improving work in this project were set. Expected results: • modernisation of classes, with the emphasis on research-oriented teaching and application of scientific methods in problem-solving • popularisation of STEM area school subjects • better inclusion and school success for pupils with stress-induced learning difficulties • higher pupil satisfaction with school environment and with methods of achievement evaluation • improvement of parent-teacher relationship – building a partnership • creating projects together with mobility participants Long-term benefits for the pupils and wider community: • pupils with more self-confidence • easer entrance of pupils into the world of work • a positive atmosphere with opportunities for learning and acquiring self-employment competencies (which should result in opening of new jobs in the future) • increased interest for vocational programmes • more successful pupils – more successful university students • new international projects and cooperation • promotion of our region
For many years, school has been implementing various projects in the school and student's education. Those projects achieved great results and enabled a better connection between teachers, students and parents, creates a positive atmosphere in the school and encourages mutual respect and understanding. Today's students do not want to learn on traditional way in which teacher teaches and students listen, they want always new and more interesting classes in which they can be actively involved in process. The student's parents want that their children acquired educational values, social and communication skills that can be used in everday's life. Every year number of students who have individualized or modified programs rises and they've been enrolled in the school between students with the regular programs. Students ask their teachers for fair and correct evaluation, and according to survey among students, those evaluation has to be modernized. Digitization has entered the schools, between the relationships among students, teachers and parents, but there's still some teachers who were not able to respond it adequately. This project will help teachers to overcome the challanges that are standing on they way.
