Objectives

With the European development plan, we determined the plans and priorities according to the needs of the School. With the successful implementation of the European Development Plan of our School, which we are stating for the upcoming period, we are continuing our initiative to create an extremely high-quality team of experts in education who can be agents of change. We summarized the needs and goals we recognized through these points of the European Development Plan and wrote them in the project application. 1. CREATING AN INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT FAVORABLE FOR LEARNING 2. APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY AND ROBOTICS IN THE TEACHING PROCESS Both points of the Plan are achieved through the joint creation of inclusive learning through the application of virtual and augmented reality and robotics in teaching scenarios, all for the purpose of strengthening the competencies of both teachers and students. The educations that we envisioned through the second point actually work to create an inclusive environment favorable for learning, and both points are interwoven. Creating an inclusive environment has been one of the priorities of Horvati Elementary School since 2002. By applying new digital technology, we were able to greatly develop the skills of both teachers and, indirectly, of course, students.

Background

Through constant and adequate professional training both in the Republic of Croatia and abroad, we strive to create a professional team of employees in a modern school where the student is at the center of the educational process. We want to use modern methods and innovations in teaching to develop the skills of our educational staff, thereby firmly influencing the students' skills, but also the parents' awareness that when enrolling in the first grade, they choose modern classes in the spirit of the times we live in, regardless of the back building in which we live. We strive to increase or maintain the number of students enrolled in the first grade every year. It was during the pandemic year in which we applied for the project that it became clear how important the digital literacy of students is.
