With this project we wanted to: - improve the competences of teachers and principal in order to improve the existing curriculum based on European examples of best practice and introduce new working methods through innovative approaches, - continue activities to expand cooperation with schools in tourism and hospitality at the international level in order to bring new teaching content related to international cuisine in curriculum - raise the level of competences of teachers to work with students with difficulties who regularly attend our school, emphasis in the implementation of practical classes - provide students with professional practice abroad to get acquainted with different ways of doing business and standards which will open up opportunities for them to mobility of the workforce - get to know the specifics of other countries' gastronomy as part of their cultures and later apply it in practice as an added value to the restaurant/hotel where they will work, or start their own business - encouraged to continue training later - raise awareness of multiculturalism -improve the competences of foreign languages as an important tool in performing tasks in the catering industry - develop a network of partners in the EU
The school curriculum encourages students to continuously develop and participate in all activities that are important for the personal and professional development, it is based on learning outcomes in accordance to the needs of the labour market at local and regional level. We can achieve alignment with needs at EU level through participation in EU projects, cooperation with other vocational schools and employers. The aim of the project was focused to the teachers through the job shadowing, we wanted to provide them the opportunity of networking with colleagues from EU countries, see best practices in order to be more competent to carry out classes. We detected that the past years the number of students with different difficulties had increasing trend and our professional teachers have insufficient competences to work with them. Students with difficulties regularly attend our school, and the challenges are specifically defined in conducting practical classes in the school restaurant and with employers. We also wanted to raise awareness of our students in the field of multiculturalism and raise the level of foreign languges competences. 3 destinations in IT and ES are well-known tourist destinations in the world.
